There is a detour associated with this closure. It starts at exit 53B of I-29 north bound, then north and east to exit 55 on I-29 north bound which is the 25th Street exit, then under the I-29 overpass to I-29 south bound, then back on I-29 south bound, then south and west to the I-480 west exit off I-29. Comment: Pottawattamie County: Bridge Painting will result in ramp closures from Interstate 29 to eastbound Interstate 680 near Loveland the week of July 6. The work involves painting of the railroad bridge over I-680 at milepost 13, just east of I-29. Due to the proximity of the ramps to the overhead bridge, the ramp from I-29 Northbound to I-680 Eastbound will need to be closed for a few days to complete the painting. Weather permitting, starting Monday, July 6, the I-29 Northbound to I-680 Eastbound ramp will be closed. Traffic will be routed north on I-29, less than a mile to the Loveland exit, then back south on I-29 to utilize the I-29 Southbound to I-680 Eastbound ramp.
